Solving Our Homelessness Crisis
Far too many of our fellow Nevadans struggle with homelessness. Many are in situations they could never have imagined themselves in, whether losing a job, struggling with substance abuse, fleeing a bad domestic situation, a returning vet, or a child that suffers through no fault of their own. We must tackle this crisis with compassion and marshal the private and public sectors to help solve it.
We need to make sure individuals have access to the mental health and substance abuse facilities and programs they need. We need job counseling that helps individuals who can work find a job and removes the barriers that stop this from happening.
Far too often, with the best of intentions, the government gets in the way and enacts barriers and red tape. This must stop if we are going to solve this crisis.
